"Adopted: The New American Family" follows two families at different points in their adoption journey. To learn more about these two families, check out the videos below.

John and Jacqui Trainer:

After a year of trying unsuccessfully to conceive using infertility treatments, John and Jacqui decided to adopt a girl from China. The waiting time was grueling, but in April 2007 they traveled to China to pick up their daughter, Roma XinPei. John, Jacqui, and Roma are now enjoying their new life together in Nashua, New Hampshire. To learn more about John and Jacqui, click on the video to the left.

Jen Fero:

Found abandoned at a police station in Seoul, South Korea, Jen was adopted by a family from Oregon in 197?. She grew up in a small town that had no Asians, Asian-Americans, or Asian adoptees. Jen rarely thought about her experience as a Korean adoptee until her adoptive mother was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2006. Now, Jen is struggling to come to terms with her Korean identity and what it means to be adopted in America. To hear more from Jen, click on the video to the right.
